This notice explains how the AI in Finance Summer School ("AIFSS"), a program presented by RBC Borealis, handles the personal information you provide through our acceptance and registration-of-interest forms, and the emails we send in connection with them.
What we collect
- Acceptance form: your name, email, university, program and year, registration option, dietary requirements, t-shirt size, accessibility or access needs, and anything else you choose to tell us.
- Register-your-interest form: your name, email, and — optionally — your university, research area, and current stage.
How we use it
- To confirm and administer your place in the program (registration, payment, logistics, and event planning, including catering and accessibility arrangements).
- To contact you about the program — including a confirmation email when you submit a form.
- If you registered interest for a future year: to let you know when applications open and share key program updates. Every such email includes a way to opt out.
We do not sell your information or use it for advertising, and we don't share it outside the program team and the service providers below.
Where it's stored
Form submissions are stored securely with our website host (Netlify). Confirmation emails are delivered through our email service provider. Both act as service providers under contract and process your information only on our instructions.
How long we keep it
Acceptance information is kept for the administration of the current program year and then deleted or archived per RBC record-keeping requirements. Interest-list details are kept until the next application cycle closes, or until you ask us to remove you — whichever comes first.
Your choices and rights
- You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time.
- You can withdraw from the interest list whenever you like — use the unsubscribe option in any email or contact us directly.
- Providing dietary and accessibility information is always optional; it is used only to plan the event.
